Our Veterinary Services
We're pleased to offer the following services in our Pinckney Veterinary Clinic:
We do work off of appointments so that Dr. Diehr will have ample time to fully assess your pet’s best course of care. Please call our clinic to speak with our reception team during business hours to make an appointment for your pet. While emergencies do happen we are NOT a walk-in 24 hour clinic, please call us, we do make every effort to accommodate your emergencies, however it is not always possible or in the best interest of your pet. If we feel that we cannot provide immediate care properly for your pet, we will refer you to an emergency clinic that will be able to handle your pet’s needs as time is of the essence. We work with several 24 hour clinics in the area for such emergencies.
Clients & New Clients:
While we wish we could see everyone, the reality is we can’t. We do take new clients on a limited basis as our schedule allows. Our goal is to be able to service all of our clients’ needs as they arise. Our priority remains to our loyal clients whom we do see on an annual basis. Your pet’s health is of utmost importance to us. We do need to see your pet on an annual basis to continue a provider relationship with your family. By law we cannot dispense any medications without having seen you within that one year time frame. We do send out annual reminders for your pet’s vaccine needs, call and make an appointment when it arrives.
Cancellation Policy for Office Appointments:
We know schedules change. We make every effort to be understanding; however we have found the need to charge a cancellation fee in the amount of an office visit for missed appointments that are not cancelled at least 12 hours prior to your appointment time. It’s not just about making money; it’s about being able to care for all of our patients when the need arises. We do call the day prior to confirm you appointments, all we ask is that if you can’t make it to let us know. It is frustrating when we have to turn clients away that really need to be seen, because you have an appointment that you don’t intend to keep. Please be courteous to our staff, just call us!
Surgery Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a 25% of your surgery estimate fee. No Shows the day of surgery will be charged 100% of the surgery cost. Our goal is not to charge this fee. Please, if your schedule changes or you opt not to do the surgery, call us so that we can make appropriate changes to Dr. Diehr’s schedule.
We are currently doing CURBSIDE APPOINTMENTS.
We are not allowing anyone into our clinic for appointments of any kind. To limit our staff’s contact, our technicians will speak with you by phone to take your pet’s history. You will then be instructed to bring your pet to the vestibule area. Your pet will come into the clinic and have their appointment with Dr. Diehr and either he or a technician will contact you by phone to go over your results where you can ask questions.
We ask that you remain in our parking lot for the entire length of your appointment, and answer our phone call when we call you.
For GENERAL APPOINTMENTS AND SURGERY CHECK IN’S with Dr. Diehr, please park in the front spaces near the building or the ones that face Howell Road. Call us to let us know you have arrived.
For GROOMING APPOINTMENTS please pull to the side of the building, past the side door, pull to the end of the sidewalk and park alongside the curb. Call us and our groomer will come out and get your pet from the back of the building. PLEASE DO NOT PULL BEHIND THE BUILDING. Call us to let us know you have arrived.
For MEDICINE PICKUP please park along the curb at the SIDE DOOR, call us and we will bring your medication out to you.
Types of Pets Seen
At Mill Pond Animal Hospital we specialize in compassionate care for your companion animals. While on occasion we do see other types of pets for well care.
Mill Pond Animal Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa or Care Credit. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We do not offer in-house financing.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
